Dear Eric, I’d like to reflect a few thoughts regarding my experiences with you over the past few years. Having guided both fisherman and hunters for nearly two decades (17 years) I’ve come to demand a lot from myself as a professional and more so of the people I choose to spend “my” outdoor experiences with. A great guide is a rarity – there are plenty of good ones but few great. You have a number of attributes which I consider make the difference between good and exceptional; to name just a few: confidence in yourself and your abilities to make decisions - the right ones, a demeanor suited for all individuals from beginner to experienced and at the end of the day you’re still the one leading the way.As time and money share nearly equal value in today’s society, I’m happy to suggest to anyone thinking of fishing Montana, it’s time and money very well spent! My wife and I would like to thank RFO and our guide Kirk for a very memorable day on the Clark Fork. It was our first trip to Montana and Kim’s first flyfishing experience. So, it has been 5 years since I met you. Since then I have really enjoyed learning to fly fish. I can’t thank you enough for your continued support and motivation during the time we have spent together. Each year you have furthered my ability to catch fish. I am really looking forward to this year’s adventure. I am so excited about having you initiate my wife. I am certain that with your help Justine will embrace her introduction to fly fishing. In my opinion it is the most important part of continuing or quitting. You make the whole thing seem so easy and fun. Since I can’t seem to tie the knots unless I have my microscope and you can do it under 2 seconds, I have really appreciated your help. Oh by the way, we really like catching the fish too! I have to say that after meeting a number of guides who have all been helpful I really can see where your experience and people skills help you personify the essence of a full service guide. You are the best of the guides I have met and I am so excited about you bringing my wife into the fold. After a year or two with you I will be able to take her anywhere and for that you have my continued respect and appreciation. I have recommended you to many of my friends and am confident that they will be well taken care of. Also, thanks for all the wonderful little cooking additions. I have really enjoyed our dinners together. I am really looking forward to seeing the look on Justine’s face when she sees where we stay overnight on the river and enjoys the dinner you and I will prepare together.
